ABM Mosty, which represents ABM Bridge Systems in the Czech Republic, has successfully completed another structure for the Czech Rails - this time on the international corridor number 3. The bridge was installed on 15/04/2008 for the main contractor Skanska (who was in JV) as part of the upgrade scheme of the corridor between Plzen - Stribro. The structure was installed in just 10hours even though it was in very rough conditions in the middle of a deep forest close to Hracholusky dam and the precast elements had to be double handed at near rail station Pnovany from big trailer to smaller trucks. The system used was the arched precast buried system Matiere CM4 15x20.
BACK TO NEWSThe new intersection Stupava was opened to public on the first of August 2011. It is the crossing of the old D2 with the new constructed D4.
The rail bridge RB01, which carries the rail line over a local farm road, is in close proximity of the main structure on this section, the bridge across the Maritca river. The bridge RB01 is replacing an old existing bridge at the end of its lifecycle which was confirmed by several borehole drills samples tested in a laboratory.
continueThe road bridge carries over a 2nd class road over a double rail electrified track. The existing bridge structure was a three span bridge of precast pre-stressed beams of the length 30m sitting on in-situ columns.
