ABM Bridge Systems have received a further commendation for their valiant efforts in delivering and installing the CM4 arch units for the Park Bridge Project, in Derry, on Friday 10th October 2008.This was completed in very trying conditions, with the river in extreme flood during installation. The entire installation was completed in one day, starting at 5.00am and finishing at 10.00pm that same night. This endeavor reflects the ethos of the entire team within ABM Bridge Systems who are fully committed to our client’s satisfaction and will not rest until the project is satisfactorily completed.
The client John Boyd (Department for Regional Development, NI).wrote to our client
“ Nigel
I understand you got the arches in by late Friday night. Please pass on my appreciation of the effort and hard work put in by everyone under very difficult conditions.
Regards John ”
Our Client Nigel Dougan (of Highway Barrier Solutions) wrote to ABM Bridge Systems
“Your efforts were very much appreciated. In the end it was a “big push” to get the works completed on Friday. It was a long hard day, the first man on site arrived at 5.00am, the last man left at 10.30pm and conditions were very difficult. However it was good to see the efforts rewarded and all segments successfully placed.”

The rail bridge RB01, which carries the rail line over a local farm road, is in close proximity of the main structure on this section, the bridge across the Maritca river. The bridge RB01 is replacing an old existing bridge at the end of its lifecycle which was confirmed by several borehole drills samples tested in a laboratory.
continueThe road bridge carries over a 2nd class road over a double rail electrified track. The existing bridge structure was a three span bridge of precast pre-stressed beams of the length 30m sitting on in-situ columns.
