Teachers, parents and pupils alike are delighted with their new school which was constructed from a light-weight steel frame system.
To achieve the stipulated 21-week fast-track programme, the building structure was manufactured off-site using an insulated light gauge steel frame system which eliminated more traditional methods of construction such as in-situ concrete and block work. This allowed the on-site works to the structure, including the windows and roof, to be completed in a mere 6 weeks.
Wherever possible, off site fabrication of the internal components were used such as pre-hung door sets, internal wall partitions, kitchens, cubicles, and heating pipe work runs.
ABM Design & Build have developed an enviable reputation for the maintenance of high quality standards whilst constructing within a rapid-build programme.
Located on the existing site of a derelict 19th Century British Army Barracks, ABM is currently undertaking enabling works in preparation for future refurbishment works which are planned for the historic barracks building.
ABM has recently completed 2 no. Community Nursing Units. The 100-bed Clonskeagh development consisted of the demolition of two existing single-storey buildings and the construction of a community nursing unit at the south western corner of the site.
