The €8million redevelopment of St Peter’s National School, Phibsboro, involved a number of challenging and unique elements which included:
The building of a temporary school structure at a remote location to accommodate the 350+ students while construction work was being carried out. The demolition of parts of the existing building which is a protected structure originally built in 1882. Carry out an environmental cleanup of the site which involved the removal of asbestos and hydrocarbon contamination and the Refurbishment of the remaining protected structure and the construction of a new, part three/ part two story classroom block, GP hall, various retaining structures and associated site works on a site with very restricted access.
As part of our ongoing Continuous Improvement Strategy, ABM have successfully undertaken and achieved accreditation for ISO14001 (environmental) and OHSAS18001 (Health & Safety) to add to our previously accredited ISO9001 Quality Management System.
continueABM have commenced a social housing project at Gloucester Street in Dublin. The project, for National Association of Building Co-Operatives (NABCO) Society Ltd, consists of the construction of 19 cooperative social housing units in three, four and five storey buildings together with a self contained 30m2 committee room all of which are being erected on an existing sub structure forming part of a basement car-park over the whole area of the site.
continueABM have commenced on-site with 3 no. Design & Build/Rapid Build Schools for the DoES. The schools, based in Drogheda, Newbridge and Galway were secured against strong competition. ABM’s vast experience in the educational sector and success in completing 3 previous Rapid Build Schools for the DoES at Rochestown, Athy and Kellystown, along with realistic programming and pricing strategies secured them these much sought after projects.
