Description
The construction of a 4,400m2 100 Bedroom nursing care facility which includes dining areas, day rooms, physiotherapy centre, prayer and “quiet” room and administration areas for nursing staff.
This contract was secured on a Design & Build basis against competition from 5 other competing companies and the award to ABM was made on the basis of design, value for money and speed of construction, which were crtical criteria laid down in the prequalification requirements from the HSE.
Located on the existing site of a derelict 19th Century British Army Barracks, ABM is currently undertaking enabling works in preparation for future refurbishment works which are planned for the historic barracks building.
ABM has recently completed 2 no. Community Nursing Units. The 100-bed Clonskeagh development consisted of the demolition of two existing single-storey buildings and the construction of a community nursing unit at the south western corner of the site.
