Keeping an eye on the railway!

14/08/2008

With increasing demands on rolling stock utilisation, the need for inspection and maintenance of locomotives wagons and On-Track plant in there working region has led to several new facilities being installed.

Cambrianco with ABM Precast Solutions have developed a simple, sustainable,
modular inspection pit system using interlocking precast concrete units.

With the fifth installation to be completed shortly, the units have proved their value in allowing a rapid flexible installation. Each unit weighs in at around 4 tonnes, so is capable of handing the loads involved, but is also light enough to be placed on site with relatively small plant.
