Keeping things stable!

08/12/2009

Years of heavy traffic around Shenstone Station in Staffordshire has taken its toll on the adjacent bridge approach embankments and led to an innovative stabilisation project.

Early involvement with contract Geoffrey Osborne led to the development of a construction solution to meet the demanding site’s topographic and programme constraints. The unique application of pre-cast ground beams with mini-piles and angled ground anchors allowed stabilisation of the Lynn Lane embankment to be swiftly completed with the minimum disruption to the embankment and surrounding properties.
