Getting bigger….

In recent months several of the largest precast components manufactured at our Tuxford site have been delivered to sites across the country. With the capacity to manufacture units in excess of 100 tonnes and up to 30 metres long, the only restrictions on what can be precast and delivered are on the route to site.
As part of a rail bridge replacement in North Derbyshire, ABM supplied a 26 metre long, 80 tonne unit walkway beam which was successfully lifted in to place by main contractor AMCO during an overnight road closure.
Two post-tensioned edge beams, each with a cast on, raked stringcourse recently made their way from ABM to central London. The size and weight of the loads led to them being moved successfully to site overnight along with the bridges internal beams.
