Client: Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies
Project: Biostyr BAFF Waste Water Treatment Panels
Each precast panel has over 300 filter nozzle tubes cast in to it, this combined with the complex reinforcement required to withstand the uplift on the slabs in the process led to an innovative use of both tooling and materials.
The complex shape and high surface finish demands required the use of specially designed, steel, vertical casting cells and an individually formulated self compacting concrete mix capable of fully filling the required shape without the need for manual finishing.
Waste water treatment plants at Wigan and Blackburn are being supplied with these panels with wider use of the system planned.
With increasing demands on rolling stock utilisation, the need for inspection and maintenance of locomotives wagons and On-Track plant in there working region has led to several new facilities being installed.
